About Me
A qualified registered nurse, educator, mentor, and clinical facilitator, I have extensive experience in the health care industry, across the public and private health care sectors as well as tertiary health education. I am passionate about supporting others on their journeys through life’s challenges.
Through my own experiences as a nurse and nurse educationalist, supporting the learning of others, I recognised the need for a holistic approach to empower the “self” of each person I work with. In my Masters studies, I completed an Honours dissertation on developing resilience through self-care. The positive results consolidated my passion for the importance of self-care in biopsychosocial spiritual well-being and I have published articles on the topic [Resilience: The Power Within; Self-care strategies for Oncology nurses]. Through my personal self-development and healing journey, I have first-hand experience and am passionate about of the value of the holistic approach and the effectiveness of holistic therapies, particularly deep non-judgemental self-reflection.
Undertaking further study, I am a qualified Holistic Counsellor and member of International Institute for Complimentary Therapists (IICT). In 2021, I was recognised as a Teaching Fellow, being awarded Fellowship with the Higher Education Academy (FHEA)
I integrate a range of strategies, therapies, and tools to empower others to uncover insights, resolve concerns and challenges, heal, and to create lasting positive change in their lives.
